Islamophobia must remain top priority for Liberal government

Polls show most Canadians think racism is a problem in this country. While the Liberal government has taken certain positive steps toward addressing different kinds of racism, including Islamophobia, it needs to take more concrete action to cement itself as a leader and defender of human rights, not just domestically but globally, writes Reyhana Patel, the Islamic Relief Canada’s head of communications and government relations.
